Ashraf Khan

Ashraf Khan, a taxi driver with decades of experience was named South Australian Taxi Driver of the Year in 2007.

Mr Khan was chosen for “service that stands out from the crowd”. Several hundred nominations were received for Mr Khan who was regarded by passengers as being a safe, friendly and helpful driver, with comments ranging from “a top bloke” to a “legend” and “a champion”.

Mr Khan, originally from Pakistan, has driven taxis both in Adelaide and Sydney, but says he prefers Adelaide’s friendliness.

Taxi Council SA

Since its foundation in 1990, the Taxi Council SA (TCSA) has served as the peak taxi-cab industry body in South Australia.
